Membership Benefits: You will be a part of the "Creating a Community that works," contributing to the economic and social rejuvenation of North Lawndale. Additionally, you can count on the following membership benefits:
- Connection to more than 100 businesses, service providers, and community leaders throughout North Lawndale and the Chicago area.
- Committee participation providing the opportunity to impact the socio-economic progress of the community.
- Quarterly meetings for networking, exchanging resources and information, and promoting key policy initiatives.
- Exchange of local and national employment and training best practices.
- Strong collaborative funding strategies and proposals.
- Effective retention-driven products and services
- Quarterly newsletter
- Subcontracting opportunities, including advanced notification of subcontracting request for proposals to provide services for NLEN initiatives.
- Board nomination and voting privileges.
Membership Responsibilities: The North Lawndale Employment Network is a community-based membership driven organization and needs your input and commitment as a partner to succeed and grow. We ask for your cooperation in adhering to the following:
- Select a representative(s) to attend all quarterly, regular membership meetings.
- Track referrals you have received from and submitted to the Network.
- Accept and serve NLEN referrals to the best of your ability.
- Provide tracking update reports every quarter on client referrals and program usage.
- Select and actively participate on at least one committee and attend NEtwork workshops and forums.
- Provide opportunities for NLEN staff to address and inform your staff about the Network and its initiatives.
- Make NLEN promotional materials available to your clients and providers.
- Familiarize yourself with the NLEN by-laws.
- Maintain annual membership dues.
- Participate in annual NLEN membership surveys.
