Michael Malecek is the Development and Program Associate at the North Lawndale Employment Network and was previously the Princeton Project 55 AlumniCorps Fellow with the Sweet Beginnings program. He brings a wide range of experience to the office, having previously worked at the San Francisco Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Services, the Marin Housing Authority, and Poor News Network.
He graduated in the class of 2009 from Princeton University, where he studied Sociology and Urban Studies. Michael’s focus, inside and outside of school, has been on the issues and disparities affecting struggling urban neighborhoods, their residents, and possible solutions to these problems. He is originally from San Francisco.
