Holley Blackwell is the General Manager for the Sweet Beginnings program at the North Lawndale Employment Network.
She is committed to growing a company that upholds values for people, environment, and clean products. She comes to NLEN with several years' experience in the natural groceries retail sector.
A student of philosophy and childbirth education, Holley serves as "midwife" for the social enterprise, Sweet Beginnings, LLC, supporting various aspects of its growth and development.
Holley first came to Sweet Beginnings out of her interest in beekeeping, "Beekeeping was certainly my first interest in Sweet Beginnings. But then I discovered the specific mission for the social development of North Lawndale. This significant challenge is about people who face the worst, but who are willing to create the best."
