Whitney Smith, Executive Director – Midwest Global Philanthropy, JP Morgan Chase
In its more than 200 year history, JP Morgan Chase has remained a philanthropic force investing in some of the most impoverished cities across the nation to resolve stubborn social and economic issues. Recently, JP Morgan Chase committed to investing $40 million in Chicago’s most underserved neighborhoods on Chicago’s South and West sides. Whitney Smith, Executive Director of Midwest Philanthropy, has remained as steadfast champion of the North Lawndale Employment Network investing in the Moving Forward diesel mechanic training program, financial capability and coaching workshops in support of our Financial Opportunity Center and as the title sponsor of the Prosperity Now Racial Wealth Divide Initiative, a capacity-building training for high-impact nonprofits of color. We honor JP Morgan Chase, Whitney Smith and her team for helping to transform the North Lawndale community by providing hope, opportunity and transformational support to neighborhoods that need it most.
